Introduction

We safety and routinely manufacture various positron emission tomography (PET) probes, and provide these in and outside Molecular Imaging Center. For routine and stable manufacturing PET probes, we improve standard operation procedures and quality control procedures, etc., and achieve standardization of PET radiopharmaceuticals. Also, we conduct a development and validation of efficient manufacturing methods and quality control procedures. For clinical applications of many PET probes, we also improve quality/safety tests, etc. and metabolite analysis. Furthermore, we promote a transfer of technology for manufacture and quality control of PET probes to other research institutes.

Research Introduction

We have developed and established various positron emission tomography (PET) probes for clinical and basic studies. For routine and stable manufacturing PET probes, we work together to achieve standardization of PET radiopharmaceuticals in Japan with the Japanese Society of Nuclear Medicine, and improve standard operation procedures and quality control procedures, etc. For clinical applications of many PET probes, we also improve non-clinical safety tests of PET probes. Furthermore, we improve diffusion of standardization of PET radiopharmaceuticals to other institutes.
For the development of additional applications of PET probes, we conduct a development and validation of efficient manufacturing methods, quality control procedure and metabolite analysis. Also, we promote a transfer of technology for manufacture and analysis of PET probes we developed to other institutes.
