In addition to PET machines, NIRS has installed single photon emission computed tomography(SPECT), MRI, and other equipments essential for molecular imaging and is ready to respond to the requirements of researchers, raging from their preclinical to clinical needs.
Furthermore, NIRS has always had leading researchers of Japan in the field of PET. Many breakthroughs, including installation of the first clinical-use cyclotron, and the innovative development of research-use PET cameras and automated synthesizers for radiopharmaceuticals, have been achieved by NIRS.
