The Radiosynthesis Database of PET Probes (RaDaP) is an online database for radiosynthesis of PET probes, published in peer-reviewed scientific journals. RaDaP has been started in 2010, as a component of "Molecular Imaging Research Program" then "Japan Advanced Molecular Imaging Program" granted by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), under the collaboration between Molecular Imaging Center at National Institute of Radiological Sciences and Molecular Imaging Science Research Center at RIKEN-Kobe. In March 2012, approximately 1,000 compounds were listed from 11 major journals published from 2001-2011.
In PET research, a book named "REFERENCE BOOK for PET RADIOPHARMACEUTICALS" has been frequently referred for development / application of new PET probes all over the world. The first version of the reference book, listed approximately 1,000 references, was released in 1998, and the latest one in 2004 listed 1,400 references. Prof. IWATA Ren, the author, kindly provided us the digital data of the reference book, and allowed to integrate them with RaDaP.
Based of this offer, we modified the Webpage of RaDaP to more simple and user-friendly style, namely "REFERENCE BOOK"-like appearance. Of course, detailed data in the original RaDaP database can be seen in "MORE" pages.
After the integration, most of the PET probes reported can be found in the list of RaDaP (Please see the information), and usability would be improved. At last, we deeply appreciate Prof. IWATA's kind offer and approval for the integration of "REFERENCE BOOK for PET RADIOPHARMACEUTICALS" and RaDaP.
