Molecular probe library is a data base of the PET probes, which are available in National Institute of Radiological Sciences (NIRS).
Wide varieties of PET probes are necessary in order to promote molecular imaging research by PET.
So far NIRS has manufactured so many types of PET probes by top-level PET probe preparing technology and the advenced PET manufacturing system.
Wide varieties of PET probes prepared at NIRS are used for clinical and basic research.
Furthermore, NIRS was adopted for the research base of "PET disease diagnosis of the molecular imaging research program" by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology in 2005.
As a part of the program, we are promoting on the construction of the world's largest molecular probe library.
This program accelerates the development of NIRS original probes, as well as expanding the repertoire of useful PET probes extracted from huge amounts of articles.
We are promoting the collaborative relationship among industry, government and academia to achieve further development of molecular imaging research by disclosing this useful information to external researchers who belong to universities and pharmaceutical companies.
- 23.March.09The prototype version of the library was completed.
